At Square, we have a variety of entry-level jobs across the company. These openings are posted on our Jobs page as they become available.
Our current emerging talent recruiting program matches people who’ve completed a variety of learning-based programs, including educational bootcamps, workshops, and university degree programs, with internships and full-time jobs in software engineering. Occasionally, we also have opportunities available in product design, data science, hardware, and business.
Anyone studying computer science, electrical engineering, math, or a related technical field is eligible to apply. Bootcamp graduates and engineering training participants are also eligible within three months of completing program/training requirements.
Our recruiting season starts in early fall for roles beginning the following year. We hire on a rolling basis until roles are filled.
Yes. Depending on the program content, duration, and the length of time since you completed your program, you may be eligible for an internship or a full-time opportunity.
Internships are usually 12 or 16 weeks. A longer internship is possible and reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Where possible, we want employees to be able to work where they feel most creative and productive. On our Jobs page, you can see if a role is open for remote work or designated to a specific office location.
For strong-performing software engineering interns, we aim to extend return full-time employment offers. For roles outside of software engineering (for example, data science, business, hardware, and product design), we aim to extend return full-time offers to well-performing interns based on the team’s hiring needs on a case-by-case basis.
