FAQ
At Square, we have a variety of entry-level roles across the company. These openings are posted on our Careers page as they become available.
Our current university recruiting program hires new and recent graduates of colleges and bootcamps for internships and full-time roles in software engineering. Occasionally, we also have roles available in product design, data science, hardware, and business.
Anyone studying computer science, electrical engineering, math, or a related technical field is eligible to apply. Bootcamp graduates and engineering training participants are also eligible within three months of completing program/training requirements.
Our recruiting season starts in early fall for roles beginning the following year. We hire on a rolling basis until roles are filled.
Yes! Depending on the program length and/or the length of time since you completed your program, you may be eligible for a software engineering internship or a full-time software engineering new grad position.
Internships are usually 12 or 16 weeks. A longer internship is possible and reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
We want employees to be able to work where they feel most creative and productive. On our careers site you can see if a role is open for remote work or designated to a specific office.
For software engineering interns who perform well during their internship, we aim to extend return full-time offers depending on their respective graduation time frame. For roles outside software engineering (examples: data science, business, hardware, and product design), we extend return full-time offers, depending on the team’s hiring needs and full-time position availability, on a case-by-case basis.
